NG TF (1800 marina) slave clutch cylinder

Hi
My TF has been off the road for a few years and now when I try to get it running the clutch seals need replacing. My problem is to remove the cylinder the clutch arm needs depressing. This seems an impossible task with the engine/gearbox in situ. Anyone know a tool or technique to get it out?
regards Richard

Re: NG TF (1800 marina) slave clutch cylinder

Hi Richard,

I believe there was a special tool available that fitted in the square hole in the bell housing but these were probably very rare when Marina's were in active service. you could try a big bar or a wooden wedge to move the arm back enough to get the cylinder out. I know it is a bugger of a job to do.
