Hi - I have a NG Ascot based on a marina and the front tie bar bushes are flaking apart - the mechanic who I used said that any straight replacements might be falling apart with age anyway - what do people use? Are replacements still made? Does some one make rubber versions?

I don't know if you are referring to an original Morris Marina part, or an NG part, but if the former, you could try these people:-
www.superflex.co.uk they list the bushes for ' Marina including, "Marlin, Teal and NTG Kit cars"
I should think any motor factor would be able to tell you if original spec bushes are available,
or try 'Googling' Morris Marina . I expect there are a few hundred ( thousand? ) enthusiasts ....

I have a marina based car and replaced the bushes from Superflex earlier this year. It made a significant difference and the service was good.
