'Hockey Stick' trim.

Hello.

I'm in the process of building a new dash for my Marlin (don't shoot me yet - I also have an NG to do up, and I AM a member of this club too ), and I'm trying to source a type of flexible plastic edge trim whos profile is, I believe, referred to as 'hockey stick'.

It is used to finish off the edges of thickish panels, and is basically 'L'-shaped with the longer section (20mm-ish)glued against the rough, cut edges of the panel and the short part (around 5mm long and rounded to look nice!) coming over the edge at the front giving it a neat finish.

I've tried the usual - Woolies, etc - and googled my fingers off, but I'm astonished to find that it doesn't appear to be available (except from one American supplier in 150m rolls...).

Any ideas? Any help would be great.

Many thanks, Donnie.

Re: 'Hockey Stick' trim.

try these guys - have used them for my day work, but they have a wide range that might be of use on a kit car.

They may have a profile you can use.

or else google for "rubber extrusion profiles" - there are other suppliers and distributors.

Re: Re: 'Hockey Stick' trim.

Hi Jonathan.

Many thanks for the reply. That company doesn't seem to have the actual profile I am after, but I'll keep on trying!

I think it's also referred to a 'J' profile, and caravan refurbishers have been suggested to me as a possible source (oh, the ignominy...).

Cheers for the suggestion - I'll keep googling.

Donnie.
