Hi all,can anyone give me some advice on a new petrol pump for my TC,the present pump is a Facet 574A i've been informed that these pumps come with different ratings depending on the bhp,so as not to flood the carb with too much petrol.The TCR has a Rover V8 with a holley carb,I'm assuming the bhp is around 200 but as I didn't build the car I'm not quite sure.
I,ve got to clean up the earthing on the present one,it needed a few taps to get it going when I conked out the other day, it's just a bit irratating when it does go so I'd like to get the problem sorted.
I think these pumps are sealed units and have been told that they don't normally brake down,all advice much appreciated.

My engine is rated at 200bhp and the previous owner put on a new pump. I will have a look at the weekend and see if I can find any details on it.
I also have a fuel pressure gauge in the fuel line and I think from memory it runs at between 4-6psi.

I had a look and could not see any make or number, although it could have been at the top, which is impossible to see.
The pump body was a goldy colour, but I suspect that is just a form of alloy.

Took the TC out today for the first time since October.
I had forgotten how good the V8 sounds when giving it some stick.

Hi Martin,
Thanks for info,in fact it turned out to be a wiring problem to the actual pump.Just had a reconditioned alternator fitted as the old one was'nt charging fully.It showed up on the crypton tuning machine.
