excerpt my follow-up letter to the ASF dtd. 8/27/03
"...the information he [Mr. Boogart] NOW supplies,
if I had had I would have included in my said cover-
letter to you. I am glad he both posted the chronological specifics and where else who went where
and when. The source I used for my letter to you
was the initial chronology with who going where that
that he posted on this ["Roosevelt Family Genealogy
Forum", GenForm] site which is the same information he initially had sent me. At that time he only mentioned FDR's nephew, along with friends, going to
NORTH HOLLAND AND HAARLEM to investigate. He did not
mention their apparently going to Zeeland. If he had
been initially more specific--so too would I have been as he was my source.
You will note that in his posting #213 responding to my said letter to you that he fails
to address the problem of the coat-of-arms issue.
Our ROSENVELT/ROSENFELT coat-of-arms is completely
different & distinct from the arms of the southern-
Holland Tholen, Zeeland, Oud-Vossemeer-"Rosevelts".
He also fails to address that the two families even
spell their names different in the earliest records--
ours is spelt ROSENVELT/ROSENFELT/ROOSINFFELT. And
the family of Tholen, Zeeland, Oud-Vossemeer spelt
their name "Rosevelt"....Mr. Boogaart, nor the
Oud-Vossemeer, Tholen, Zeeland-cabal, has addressed
this 1938-statement by President Franklin Roosevelt and his "personal" disassociation from Zeeland as being our HOLLAND-cradle. Instead, he [FDR] defends
& adheres to the family tradition that we American
Roosevelts came from somewhere near HAARLEM, NORTH
Wheras, Mr. Boogaart has provided evidence showing OYSTER BAY'S association with Oud-Vossemeer,
Tholen, Zeeland, and has shown evidence of FDR's
descendants [who are half-OYSTER BAY through their
mother Anna Eleanor] association with Oud-Vossemeer,
Tholen, Zeeland, and has shown association by friends
of FDR & OYSTER BAY with Oud-Vossemeer, Tholen,
Zeeland, he HAS FAILED TO SHOW family genealogist &
cousin President Franklin Roosevelt's "personal"
association with Oud-Vossemeer, Tholen, Zeeland.
I have shown, instead, cousin President Franklin
Roosevelt's "personal" disassociation with Oud-Vossemeer, Tholen, Zeeland and his repudiation of
the Tholen, Zeeland-business. Instead, I have shown
family genealogist cousin President Franklin Roosevelt's association with the family tradition that
we came from somewhere near HAARLEM, NORTH HOLLAND...
I rest my case. We are ROSENVELTS/ROSENFELTS from
NORTH HOLLAND and are a separate, distinct family from
the "Rosevelt"-family of Zeeland, southern Holland.
THE FINAL WORD on this matter is family genealogist
cousin President Franklin Roosevelt's own,
(which record is the 1938 interview of President
Franklin Roosevelt interviewed by Virginia Pearce
"I don't believe a word about this Zeeland
business. I think it is a grand publicity
stunt to attract tourists off the beaten
track. There's a tradition in our family
that the Roosevelts came from somewhere
near HAARLEM" [NORTH HOLLAND]. (primary
