yellow wood sorrel

With all of the rain this spring I think every 'weed' seed germinated. Perhaps 25% of my yard is yellow wood sorrel. I have been enjoying this delicious lemon tanged herb in salads, south of the border recipes and Mediterranean dishes. With the recent heat it's cooling properties have been much appreciated! We had 3 adult turkeys and 16 young feasting on the sorrel seeds this morning.

Re: yellow wood sorrel

Yummy- I've had a few nibbles of it myself this summer, and was able to introduce a neighbor's grand-daughter to it- that was gratifying.
