I know that the last of the Foley's in my family emigrated from County Waterford to the U.S. in the early 1920's, but the trail before had is a bit murky. I was the first in my family to go back to Ireland since the 1920's when I taught a workshop in Waterford. From the moment I got off the train at the station in Waterford, my blood started to hum and I started recognizing buildings and streets that I had never seen before. Maybe us Foley's have a "sixth sense"? Anyway, thanks for a nice website and a glimpse into some other Foley's lives!

This is great, seeing so many Foley's is really strange! (Let alone someone with the exact same name!) I've wanted to research my family tree for ages now and never got that far, this has really encouraged me. All i know is that we are all origionally from ireland, oh and all FOLEY'S ROCK!!

I'm starting to research the Marstin family tree. I've got back to my great grandfather Charles Marstin (d. 1892) who married Margaret Ronald in Victoria. They had a son John Marstin (1876 - 1956), my grandfather.

I have been trying to find out if there is any connection to all the Marstins in the Foley Family Tree. I noticed that Walter Marstin Snr had a son Charles who is listed in your family tree as having never married!! Can anyone help.
