Last spring my husband and I rescued a beautiful young Birman from a shelter. Tragically, he contracted FIP about six weeks after we got him, and although we can never replace him, his sweet disposition made such an impact on us that both of us agreed we would prefer another Birman, from a more reliable source.

I have looked all over the internet, scoured Facebook, the TICA and CFA sites, but information is very thin in the US on this breed. We don't know much beyond the fact that our sweet boy utterly stole our hearts and won us over to this very special breed in the regrettably short time he was with us.

We would prefer to find a local breeder to embark on our search, but it seems there maybe none in the CO/NM/WY area. We also plan to attend the CFA show in Denver in September. Any information or insight you can give us is welcome. Regards, EKR

I am looking for a kitten. We had to put our beloved 15 year old seal birman Unipurr to sleep couple of weeks ago .. Would like to see if there is a kitten out there ready to be picked up by late July.

I eventually will be. Sadly, my beloved 8-year old Birman is terminally ill, and I promised myself a long time ago that someday when she passed on, I would adopt another Birman in tribute to her.
