I'm actually inquiring about one of your members listed. I'm not sure if it is the same person but was hoping that someone can give more information to verify if he is the same person I am looking for. The member listed on your site is: Fred Boswell - Bay Wind - Panama City, Florida. I'm wanting to know if it is possibly the same person as:Dr. Fred Boswell who previously lived in Griffin, Ga & worked for the University of GA Experiment Station around late 1970's to early to mid 1980's and was head of the Agronamy Department. The Rockport Legion Band, a community band founded in 1933, is currently presenting a series of summer concerts at the Bandstand on Rockport's Back Beach. The free concerts begin at 7:30 P.M. and last until 9:00.

In our 23rd year of existence, the TCCB is an active group of 50+ members. We present 3 concerts during the school year(we are under the auspices of the Tawas Community School program), and 10+ concerts in the park during the summer. Our conductor is John Thomas. We draw members from a 50 mile radius as we are in N.E. Michigan, and towns are small and far apart! We welcome all adult musicians!

During the winter months I am a member of the Naples Concert Band, Naples, Florida. Our conductors are Bill Erickson, Assistant Harris Lanzel, Conductor Emeritus Gail Waterland Scott. The membership is 80+, and we present concerts in the park every three weeks throughout the winter months. Membership is by audition. Our audiences number 4,000-6,000 in Sunny S.W. I just wanted to say THANKS for this list!!! Ever since I've been involved in Community Bands, years back, I have strived to be involved wherever I went.

I have used this list a number of times to find bands in places I've lived.

I'm new to Auburn, California. Unfortunately, in the last place I lived - Connecticut, I could not be involved in a band and MISSED it Terribly!!!

I am thrilled to DEATH that Auburn has a band, and will make moves to become involved in it - if I can.

I'm thrilled at the opportunity and again, want to say "THAKS for this list!!!"

I play in a community band in Colorado Springs. The band has been together since 1971-72. I have been in it for most of that time. I play tenor saxophone. I played in the WAC Band in the army. We play at nursing homes, retirement facilities and when the weather is good, we play in the park. We play from October to July and then we take a break for all to do vacation or whatever. Good to see a guestbook and hope more folks check it out.
