I've been checking into the history of my TC and decided to check out the engine serial number. It starts S46D. Two minutes of Internet searching later and I find that serial number is for 4.6's destined for Morgan plus 8's! I have the original receipt and indeed it's for a 4.6 and supplied by PTP of Hinckley who supplied Morgan and most other manufacturers with Rover V8's

Now I'm in something of a quandary. Do I need to re register the car? If I don't tell the DVLA, am I breaking the law? What should I call it? An NG TC +8 or a NorGan TC V8? Will I be forced to join two owners clubs?

A delicate and tricky situation. Or do I say to hell with it and drive the socks off it? Advice and support needed from other members please!

Andrew, drive the wheels off it and enjoy.....Do not under any circumstances get the DVLA involved unless you absolutely have too...!!!

Yes, I do plan to get out to NG Owners Club and other events. If anyone has anything happening near Portsmouth, do let me know. I was at Goodwood's Breakfast Club on the 2nd of Nov, though sadly the weather wasn't like this when I took the photo one day earlier! The rain was dreadful. Good job its got a 'boat' tail
