This forum has a long history, by interent standards anyway-unfortunately it has been abandoned for far too long due to real life circumstances knocking the heck out of what had been my very real desire to keep this board alive and well forever so that all of us could meet here and communicate with each other everyday.

I'm not sure that a forum like this is even needed nowadays since the advent of facebook, etc...but I hope that this once thriving BB does bring some of us back together again and that maybe some new folks will join us as well!

Robert

A while back in one of your posts you mentioned the VA-Retro program. Are you on the list and still waiting?

Also are you eligible and waiting for DOD to issue guidelines for CRSC pay?

Just wondering...

jinks...

Re: Robert

jinxs - yup still waiting, my record has been under review for the past 8 months, the people who are responsible for the prgram missed the dead line of November 15, 2006, when the retrol line, you get no definetive information what so ever from them when they will have your record finally done, and if any funds are due you. You just get the standard answer that your name is on the list and your record is being reviewed. It stinks, to me there is prbolem with this program that Veterans are not being told about.

Re: Robert

Gotta agree with you there Robert. When it comes to implementation of anything that costs Money they seem to go to the slower gear, Im not shocked because look whos in charge of the VA.

Re: Robert

jinxs I already aget CRCS pay, have been since November 2004. CRSC info you need to call DFAS not the VA retro line.

Re: Robert

Thanks Robert

I already did. Was told that they are waiting for DOD to issue guidelines for New Chapter 61 CRSC pay?

Its been three months since Bush signed the 2008 NDAA, but DOD is once again Dragging A$$. But they do this same thing with the New Vets in Life and Death situations, so why should we Old Vets think that we are any Different. Anyway im rather use to it after 40 years and I would really rather see the New Vets taken care of first.

Hurry up and wait!

Re: Robert

Jinxs called 1-877-327-4457, got the same old run around this time from a new person. Again all I was told is that my record is unde review, but the knew news is that they are trying to get the last of the original 133,000 cases done by the end of April, so don't hold your breath. You can rest assured this deadline will be missed also. The person I talked to has denied that new veterans are getting preference. It seems that all of the remaing cases need to be done mannualy to determine if any funds are even due the retired/disability pay. The system stinks. I asked the person I talked to what will happen when the April Deadline isn't met, what will we be told then, all the reprsentative told me we are trying to meet the end of April to get these done. So guess what we can expect a longer wait. The representative stated that they have less then 30,000 cases left now. I just don't see how the difference can be done in two months. This is going to go on a lot longer until vets make enough noise with there representatives. I for one am going to call my congressional rep's local office and ask what can be done about this unfariness.

Re: Robert

Jinxs just got off the phone with the VA Retro Pay line. Last week I was told they wanted to get all the remaining cases cleared up by April 30, 2008, now today I get told they don't know how much longer it will take, and can't predicate when they will done now. More lies and deceit. Time for me to contact my Congressional Represetative.
