NOTICE OF TEMPORARY CAB STAND INSTALLATION

October 16, 2009
NOTICE OF TEMPORARY CAB STAND INSTALLATION

The Chicago Department of Transportation will be installing a temporary cab stand at 420 W. Van Buren. This cab stand is to alleviate a need
caused by the removal of a cab stand due to construction on 400 W. Jackson.

Please be aware of this new cab stand location and utilize it. It will be in place until construction on Jackson is completed.

Please contact the Public Vehicle Division, 312-746-4300, with any questions.

Re: We don't need cab stands or more cabs!

this city has more cabs than private cars and there is 20 cabs for one passenger, so why we talk about cab stands or medallions?

bussiness is terrible and has been like that for 5 years and getting worse due to too many cabs and specially many new, unprofessional cabbies on street.

What we should do is, fight to stop taxi classes, end to medalion sales and revokation of taxi licenses issued in 2008 and 2009.

only than, business for us and service for customers will be improved and roads will look good cos public won't see cabbies fighting on streets to steal fares!

Good luck

The City of Chicago doesn't care. All, they care is ripping off every cabdriver in City of Chicago with tickets and high fines for stupid crap.
