Credit card customers are not always good tippers, the few cards that was processed by me was a disester.
It is wrong for the city to mandate that all cab drivers accept cards, this is wrong, the drivers must be allowed to make this decision since this very much affects their income.

Of cause it is wrong. It would be more wrong when you process the credit when you are not even the Merchant's Account owner.

Do you know where the money is transfering to when passenger pays you the fare by a credit card? If it goes to the cab company's account, it would be like you cash your pay-check from a "currency exchange".
