They didn't have the support and they knew it. Just about every driver I've talked to has said they hope the strike is successful. That's because they want to make a lot of money because they don't plan to strike.
They picked a busy day because they're desperate for a victory and this is the only way they can show it because they don't have the support.
They rented a bus and begged drivers to come with them and still only got about 24.
