Barbara and Ann:

I\'ve never \"posted\" anything on a website before, and my attempt to \"post\" this message on 8/9/16 apparently failed, so I am sending it onto you both now -- belatedly, but with no less appreciation today than we had 7 weeks ago! I am certain you have welcomed home many men and women since then, and your tireless service on their behalf means more than words could ever express! Below is our unposted post!

------------------------------------------------

It is with a heart filled with joy and gratitude that I post this message of appreciation to those who gathered on August 3, 2016, to welcome home the men and women who left family, friends, home and country to serve on our behalf. Because of you, their return to U.S. soil was a sweet celebration -- complete with decorations, snacks, photos and, most importantly, love.

Your dedication and service to honor the men and women dedicated to serving us and our country was an incredible blessing and I pray that each of you sense the warm embrace of this greeting and our gratitude.

God bless you,

Diane and Ken Frazier

I just wanted to reach out and say Thank you!!! My husband returned home from his 6month deployment in Afghanistan last week and I was so touched by all the volunteers and deeply moved by the program and your welcome home project. My heart is still feeling so full of love and appreciation for everything your program does for the returning service members and the families. I really loved seeing the pictures of us and our little girls that you were able to capture for us as we waited to greet our loved one and when we saw him. Thank you so so much!!!

Thank you so much for posting our Welcome Home Vietnam Veterans Day Save the Date! We are so excited to carry on this new tradition... something that should have happened decades ago. Because we are expecting an amazing turnout, we want things to run smoothly, so we are asking that Vietnam Veterans and their families RSVP by contacting Kendall Sofia at 443-837-1508 or emailing veterans@hospicechesapeake.org. We hope to see you there!

My brother came home two weeks ago. He told me about the wonderful greeting he received and the gift bag he was presented with, which contained an adorable and thoughtful card. Thank you for all you do!

When we landed at BWI last week (December 17th), we had no idea we were going to have such an excellent greeting! It was an extremely long flight packed on the 747 for 17 hours straight and nothing could\'ve boosted spirits more than a warm welcome. We really appreciated it and we appreciate all of your support for the troops! Aim High!

On behalf of myself and others in my unit, I want to express my sincere thanks and appreciation for the enthusiast \"welcome home\" we received 13 Oct 15 at BWI!

Personally, my first experience with operation Homefront? was in 2007. Nothing could describe the surprise of walking through those doors for the first time to the throng of greeters clapping, cheering and letting me know how much they cared. Now - eight years later - you are still there, enthusiastic as ever. It amazes me that you take time out of your schedule to stand in an airport for hours... Just for us. Talk about selflessness. Your support and dedication makes what I do worthwhile and I thank you.

This past trip was well over 30 hours long; the people you were greeting were tired, hungry and ready to go home. Even if you may not have seen it, I can tell you the appreciation was there. Best wishes to you and your family!

I sincerely and whole heartedly appreciated the time, effort, and patriotism of all that greeted our flight this past Tuesday. It is immensely humbling to be greeted by American citizens that took time out of their busy lives to welcome us all back to this great country.

I want to say thank you so much to all of you for what you do here. My soldier son, his wife, and their 4 children (youngest of which I have not met yet) got off the plane there from Germany and were overwhelmed by the greeting they received from all of you. It still has tears in my eyes as I type. I don\'t know if you truly realize what this means to us parents, spouses, children, siblings, and so on that people care enough to make sure our service men and women and their families are shown this kind of love and support, especially by those of us who cannot be there to greet them with our own arms. I do not know any of you but I do know this special group of people will forever be in my heart.

OWHMD - You people are AWESOME! We had the privilege of welcoming the AMC flight at BWI on Saturday, 10/24. Our son returned to the US on that flight! It was a wonderful time! The men and women who came through the doors all had different reactions - some were surprised and very appreciative of the greeting, others didn\'t know what to do, and others were so thrilled to be greeted! The goodie bags were wonderful! So many of the men and women dug right into their bags!

Thank you so much for welcoming our troops home to the USA! They deserve it and you deserve accolades for your mission! All of you!

Thank you!

Thank you so much for the care package on my return from overseas. We rarely make it back early enough to get a good dinner, and most of us have been flying for 24 hours straight. You care package is sometimes the only snack we can get until breakfast. Also, a smiling face and a thank you brings a smile to our faces every time!

I really appreciate the welcome at BWI. I have been in for 15 years and these things really touch me. You guys were very helpful with an extreme morale boost after our long journey. Many soldiers really appreciate the support and it\'s very emotional and positive to come home and be welcomed.

While my unit and I were unable to stop and say thank you for meeting us as we returned from overseas due to a compressed timeline, I wanted to take the time to simply say thank you. The love and support you show and provide is needed and greatly appreciated by military personnel everywhere. This operation and those who participate in it will be my family\'s prayers that God would pour blessings on you for all you have done, all you do, and all you will do in the future.
