we LOVE Umbertos, always make the trip from Gardencity one evening to enjoy the great food, my husband always gets the double porkchop special and i get a veal dish

I have read many reviews about this restaurant. Obviously many people who write them have never eaten in authentic Italian food or have ever eaten in a real Italian restaurant. I was born and raised in Brooklyn NY. My grandmother was a restaurant owner. I'll be the first to tell you true Italian restaurants are not about fluff, they are about food and service. Umberto's has an excess of both of these things.I have eaten here during my vacation every year for the past 18 years. Been all over Myrtle Beach and have yet to find anything close to the family atmosphere you find here.
Enough said. Thank you Umberto's. See you Sunday Oct 7, 2012. And a big shout out to my favorite bartender Stephan.

We ate here twice last year, while vacationing in Myrtle Beach for the first time. We are returing in August with friends and we will have dinner hear again at least once. Food is outstanding and the service is very attentive. One of our favorite places in Myrtle Beach!
