My Father Owen William Harris known as \'Bomber\' was part of 656 Squadon. He was GPR and then AAC. We were in Malaysia when Ken McConnell crashed in the jungle and my father was one of his friends searching for him whils my mother \'Joyce\' supported Helen, Ken\'s wife, whilst he was missing. In fact I have the newspaper article from that time. It has been a pleasure to read the history and brings better understanding to the wooden tail pin with 656 on that I have. Thank you

hi. I am writing on behalf of my father Bernard Temple, who served in 656 sq 1907 flight in Malaya from 1953 -55.
while browsing your excellent site I noticed 3 or 4 names who may have been my fathers friends in Taiping.One name J.A McCardle (John) seems very promising.How would I be able to confirm if this is the same person,and perhaps contact him if possible.

Been to a couple of other reunions but this year was the first time my wife and I attended for the dinner. Despite being a bit of a 'youngster' (Hong Kong 73-75) and not knowing anyone we were made to feel very welcome and it was interesting and amusing to hear the experiences of the 'oldies'. The visit to the arboretum on the Sunday was extremely enjoyable and sometimes emotional. Will be back next year... if we're spared!

Hi....i had stumbled upon this site during my research to discover pictures related to the Chettiar Temple in Waterfall, Penang. It was a blessing for me. I am currently liaising with the Temple committee to publish a book on the history of this establishment which was founded in 1857. In fact I came accross 2 pictures (#192 & #193) in SHQ 1954-56 Noble Field KL by Peter Elliston. Such picture are extreemely rare. I wonder whether this association has more picture of this establishment and would you be willing to allow us to include these pictures in the temple commemorative book that we intend to publish in 2012?
