It is with great personal sadness that I have to tell you that, at 4:30 this morning, our friend and great instructor, Rex Nicholls, made his final great journey. Having been very ill for some time, he passed away peacefully in his sleep. We who owe you so much will miss you. Rest in Peace Rex, your battle is over.

Does anybody know David Penny. Went to school with him, and would like to catch up now in my 50\'s. Spotted his photo on the 2003 meeting page

Hi all,

Does anyone remember grandfather, Ray Hawkins, who was killed in 1967 in Greenland. If so I'd be very interested in hearing from you.

Pete.

Despite not being able to turn up until after 9/30 I had a superb evening. Meeting up with my 'special' pal 'PIG' - as usual he had us all in stitches. A 'tinge of sadness' at the roll of honour was the only low point. Unfortunately missed David Quirk and Paul Shires - so my best wishes to them. Who would have thought that 'dashing' (permanantly pxxxxd) instructor at Surrey and Kent FC, would in AD 2003 mastermind all this...? So congratulations 'JOHN' and everyone who contributed to a smooth, professional and memorable event.

John,

Just a quick note to say thank you for the time and trouble you took organising the Reunion.
It was the first true "social" event that I have attended at BH, and had a great time; the people were all friendly and the band was great - I am just glad I had my dancing
shoes on!
Thank you once again for a great night, and I hope to see you up in Pilots Pals bar soon!
Kind regards
Mark Comley

THE ENTRIES BELOW THIS POINT ARE EXTRACTS FROM YOUR EMAILS - I REALISE NO ONE WANTS TO BE THE FIRST TO ENTER SOMETHING IN A GUESTBOOK!
PLEASE REMEMBER THAT, WHILST I MAY HAVE BEEN THE ONE YOU HEARD FROM ALL THE TIME, I HAD AN EXCELLENT TEAM BEHIND ME TO HELP ORGANISE AND RUN THIS EVENT - THANKS ARE DUE TO ALL OF THEM TOO....

John,

An excellent evening. Thank you to you and your team for all your efforts. I imagine you are now quite exhausted but we will al remember the evening for a long time to come.
As a relative newcomer to Biggin I didn't recognise many in the Rogues Gallery but enjoyed myself all the same. Please pass on my appreciation to all involved.

On behalf of my Mum(Jo) and myself I`d just like to say Thanks very much for a very enjoyable day!
It was really great to see so many old friends(and Rivals!!)all in one place at the same time.
No...seriously there was a really great atmosphere of fun and enjoyment the whole day through for everyone.
(it certainly brought a lump to my throat seeing those names on the Roll of Honour again.)
Many thanks again
Dave Cole
p.s. Mum asked me to tell you that the weight loss suits you!!

John,
Very well done a great bash and much appreciated by all to whom I talked, which was a fair few.
I managed to put my foot in it on a couple of occasions only , which shows how well I tried to behave.

Many thanks again , and please pass on my thanks to your cohorts.

John,
Many thanks to all of you for a pleasant and memorable afternoon. I met so many "old" faces. Wish I could have got around talking to eveyone I saw...but too much remincent zooming limited the opportunity.
Stayed 'till early evening and was glad to see such a good turnout even though by then virtually everyone I knew had gone.
I think you did a fantastic job... very well done. May see you in Joe's bar sometime. Cheers from Mike Townsend

Hi John

I thought I should at least say well done, and thank you. Having been involved in arranging a few things I know what a thankless task it usually is.

I thought (and so did many others) that it worked really well. The hiccups were hardly predictable, and the whole presentation was very professional.

As for the event itself, well you know what I think - it gets harder to come and look at the list of absent friends each time.

Think of it, if you have another one in 5 years time, I will be into my 60's, and you really will be grey (go on, admit it).

Anyway, well done - it was worth it
best regards
David

Dear John

Just to say 'Well Done' and congratulations to you, Joe and all your helpers on the preparation and layout for the reunion, I could see a lot of hard work and thinking
went into making it most enjoyable. It was nice to meet up with old friends in the right atmosphere and that was just the afternoon, I bet the Evening was even better. I'm sorry that I missed Bev as she attended the Evening show.

I thought the Buffet was very good and well organised.

After seeing the preparation that had been made I feel £25 was reasonable and well spent, anybody that says differently must be quite selfish. It must have been a long day for you all and no doubt just a little bit worrying at times I feel sure.

Once again Well done by all.

Sincerely
Dudley

Well done John on a superb Reunion do yesterday. It was wonderful to meet up again with so many familiar faces from our era at Biggin, especially some of those who didn't
attend the 1998 Reunion. Do you think there will be another one planned for 2008? The five year interval seemed to work very well.

Many thanks. Take care and a well deserved rest.
Vicki
